“I have been surrounded by extraordinary love and support since losing my son, Tommy, on 21st May 2018. Out of that love, and in his memory, I founded the Tommy Crush Foundation.
The Foundation exists to support teenagers and young adults who may be struggling with their mental health, feeling vulnerable, or facing thoughts of suicide. My hope is that no one who needs help ever feels alone or unheard.
Tommy was happy, funny, intelligent and deeply loved, with a wide circle of friends. He didn’t look like someone who was struggling — and that’s exactly why this work matters so much. What we see on the outside doesn’t always reflect what someone is carrying on the inside.
Through awareness, education and funding meaningful initiatives, the Foundation is committed to breaking stigma and creating real, practical change. Our aim is simple, but urgent: to help prevent young people from suffering in silence, and to spare other families the heartbreak we live with every day.
Every donation, every conversation, and every act of kindness helps keep Tommy’s legacy alive — and brings hope to someone who may need it most.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for caring. And thank you for supporting this mission.”
In Tommy’s memory, the Tommy Crush Foundation empowers young people to recognise mental health struggles that are not always visible. Through awareness, understanding and training, we help young people feel confident to speak up, reach out, and know they are never alone.
Our Trustees bring together a wealth of personal experience, professional expertise, and a shared passion for supporting young people’s mental health. United by a commitment to honouring Tommy’s memory, they play a vital role in guiding the Tommy Crush Foundation with compassion, integrity, and purpose.
From frontline emergency services and grassroots sport to mentoring, community volunteering, and charity leadership, each Trustee brings unique skills and perspectives that help shape the Foundation’s work and impact.
Driven by care, understanding, and a strong sense of community, our Trustees work to create lasting change and build a positive legacy in Tommy’s name.

Lisa founded The Tommy Crush Foundation in memory of her son, Tommy, who tragically died by suicide aged just 17.
Deeply personal and rooted in love and loss, the Foundation is Lisa’s way of creating a lasting legacy for Tommy. Her mission is to support vulnerable teenagers and young adults by raising awareness of mental health issues, promoting open conversations, and signposting to appropriate support.
Through her work, Lisa is dedicated to breaking the stigma around mental health and ensuring that young people never feel alone in their struggles.

Dan resides in Sidcup, Kent, and is one of the founders of the charity with Lisa Crush. Being actively involved in grassroots sports, Dan was keen to ensure that mental health awareness was prioritised in the same manner as safeguarding and the well-being of youth players.
Dan established strategic partnerships with both the Kent FA and Kent Youth League, providing the foundation with a platform to reach the football community. Dan was one of 50+ football coaches who were trained by the Kent FA to be mental health ambassadors in order to support players and parents within their respective clubs.
Alongside his role at Tommy Crush Foundation, Dan has undertaken the Mental Health First Aid Level 2 qualification and acts as both a qualified mentor and coach in a working capacity.

They use their voices and platforms to raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and remind others that it is okay to speak up and reach out for help.
Through kindness, courage, and peer leadership, they help break the stigma surrounding mental health and create safe spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and supported.
